Nation Mourns: William Ruto Leads Tributes for MP David Njuguna Kiaraho

William Ruto has led national leaders in mourning the death of David Njuguna Kiaraho, who passed away on Sunday morning at Nairobi Hospital.

In a brief but heartfelt message, the President described Kiaraho as a focused and service-driven leader. He noted that the three-term MP remained committed to his constituents and consistently placed public interest above politics.

Ruto said the country has lost a dependable voice in Parliament. He highlighted Kiaraho’s contribution to education and his steady role in legislative work. He also urged current leaders to emulate his approach—prioritising service over political rivalry.

“Our thoughts are with his family and the people of Ol Kalou,” he stated.

Musalia Mudavadi termed the late MP a diligent public servant. He said Kiaraho executed his duties with discipline and responsibility, leaving behind a record of consistent service.

Moses Wetang’ula focused on his parliamentary record. He noted that Kiaraho served actively in key committees, including Transport and Infrastructure, as well as Procedure and House Rules.

Rebecca Miano described him as a leader defined by sacrifice and dedication. She pointed to his role in advancing development within Nyandarua and his collaboration with regional leaders.

Former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria recalled a practical working relationship. He described Kiaraho as cooperative and respectful during their time together in parliamentary committees.

Oscar Sudi kept his message concise. He referred to Kiaraho as both a colleague and a friend, noting his commitment to public service.

Across the political divide, the tone remained consistent. Kiaraho is being remembered less for political alignment and more for his work ethic, consistency, and focus on delivery.

His passing marks the end of a parliamentary career built on steady engagement rather than noise.
