Shugaboy Appreciates Neighbor With KSh 100K Gift
Popular Coco Asubuhi host Shugaboy has sparked admiration online after publicly appreciating his neighbor with a generous KSh 100,000 gift for her kindness and support during his stay in a new town- Kilifi.
Quoting a Bible verse from Gospel of Matthew 22:39 — “Love your neighbor as yourself” — the media personality shared an emotional message explaining how the neighbor had played a major role in helping him settle comfortably over the past two months.
According to Shugaboy, the woman’s humility, generosity, care, and genuine love created a peaceful environment that made his transition into a new place smooth and emotionally fulfilling. In a world where people often speak more about conflict than compassion, his message stood out as a refreshing reminder that good neighbors still exist.
“I gifted my neighbor 100k as a token of appreciation for the kindness, generosity, humility, love and care she has showed me for the past two months,” he wrote.
The radio host further expressed his happiness at seeing her happy, adding that she had become a major source of joy in his new environment. His words reflected not only gratitude but also the importance of acknowledging people who positively impact our lives.
What captured even more attention was Shugaboy’s promise that the gesture may only be the beginning. If all goes according to plan, he hinted at gifting her a Mazda Demio by the end of the year as an even bigger token of appreciation.
“This is just the beginning neighbour,” he stated. “If all goes well I might as well get you that Demio by the end of the year as promised.”
In many ways, Shugaboy’s post reflects the true meaning behind the biblical teaching in Gospel of Matthew 22:39. Loving your neighbor is not always about grand speeches or public displays. Sometimes it is about showing appreciation, being present for others, and recognizing the people who make life easier during difficult or unfamiliar moments.
